Romantic explorations
In the Amalfi coast, you never go from one place to the next. You wander, you roam, to learn and become familiar with, following inspiration and passion.
At sunset the colours are fascinating and the state road that snakes upwards to over look the sea and connects the most famous villages is one of the most spectacular routes in the world, making it a truly unique lookout point. But when the sea is calm and the sun is shining a boat ride is the best way to go out and explore the coves and to go into the inlets where you can swim completely on your own. Reaching the atolls of rock from the high cliffs that plunge into the blue waters is a priceless pleasure, but remember to include the Li Galli archipelago on your course, located three miles off the coast, which is believed to be the home of the enchanting Mermaids that attempted to seduce Ulysses. Also departing from Positano are extraordinary excursions to discover the suggestive Lattari Mountains, 3 km above the town is the village of Montepertuso and from here you can follow a stairway of 1700 steps to Nocelle, from where the "path of the gods" starts out, famous for its breathtaking views.

The frame is provided by the exclusive town of Positano, the painting is the wonderful natural environment ,with the rock that is immersed in an incredibly blue sea and the vegetation that is both tender and wild at the same time.
